In nature, this flower is known for the balloon shape it creates just before blooming into a beautiful star-shaped flower. This stamp shows off the beautiful detail and shadowing in the flower with its 4 layers and two leaves with 3 layers each.

Let's get right into the inspiration with this tutorial video below:
To start, I chose the color palette for my flower and leaves. I went a bit off the beaten path for this one and used gray for the leaves. I love the interest this brings to the design and I love bringing more neutral colors into floral cards when I can.
My color choices for the Balloon Flower itself are Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Rubellite, and Razzleberry Crisp Dye Inks. This combines two ink sets, but I do like the way the colors work together to make a big impact. For the leaves, I chose Limestone, Silver Stone, and Industrial Diamond Crisp Dye Inks.
For the background, I chose to use the Fragile Foliage Stamp Set because of the small details in the image and how they would work well with the large surface of the flower. To stamp these directly to the card front, I used Warm Sunshine Crisp Dye Ink because I thought it would add a nice pop of bright color.
To make sure the dimension that I was going for showed through, I adhered the leaves to the card front with liquid glue and the flower with foam tape. This creates a more dramatic differentiation between the levels of focal points on the card. To finish the design off, I used the “hello” die from the Hello and Hugs Stamp & Die Set for a simple but effective sentiment.
