Hello there everyone! I hope you all are well. Erum here and I am back with a very pretty floral card featuring the Sweetest Peas Stamp Set. Today I will show you how to color your images with Artist Markers and heat emboss them as well without ruining the tips of your markers! I will focus on sticking to close and light shades today to create a pretty looking card that is easy to color.

Most of you must already be familiar with this technique as it has been around for a while. The result is always gorgeous because the Artist Markers gives you such an intense and gorgeous coloring effect. And the shine of the heat embossing adds a boutique touch to the card. For my card, I begin by ink blending Peach Perfect Crisp Dye Ink onto Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock with a blending brush. You will notice that I have kept the ink more concentrated on the left and the bottom edge. The reason is, I will be stamping my Sweetest Peas in this area.

I set up my cardstock and placed my stamps on my stamping platform. We need a stamping platform, this is the most essential part of the technique. Because, first, we will stamp in alcohol-friendly ink. For today's card, instead of stamping in alcohol-friendly ink, I will stamp in an ink which is close to the color of the Artist Marker I am using. I first stamped the images in Peach Perfect Crisp Dye Ink but it was too close and I couldn't see clearly while coloring so I stamped the images again and this time I used Sunkissed Crisp Dye Ink.

To color the flowers, I used Cotton Candy and Peach Perfect Artist Markers. For the leaves, I used Forest Glades and Frayed Leaf Artist Markers.

Next, we will need the stamps to be in the same position to restamp in Embossing Ink hence the need for a stamping platform. But first, make sure to use anti-static powder over the entire panel. Then pour over Golden Peach Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Add a few fine black paint splatters. Heat emboss the sentiment on black cardstock in Golden Peach Embossing Powder. Adhere the sentiment tab on the panel with foam tape. Mount the panel onto the card base. To finish, add a few satin gold sequins.

HOW-TO VIDEO:

You can watch the process video below or on YouTube in HD.

The reason I chose to go with close shades of Artist Markers is to make the coloring process quicker and easier. Also, these light, pretty colors are perfect for Mother's Day as well. I hope you were inspired to try this easy Artist Marker coloring technique. Thank you for stopping by!
