Creative Coloring with Erum: Stamp Focus: Weekend Doodles

Hi there! Erum here today and I have FOUR cards to share with you plus a video featuring the Weekend Doodles Stamp Set.

This is such a fun stamp set and I had a blast creating these cards for you. Let's begin with the first card.

Card 1

I started by heat embossing one of the images from the Weekend Doodles Stamp Set in Pure White Embossing Powder on watercolor cardstock. Next, I used the Watercolor Brush Markers in Purple Wine and Desert Night to color the image. I applied a bit of color directly from the markers and then spritz the image with water, liberally.

For my card base, I used one of the patterned papers from the Summer Garden 6×6 Paper Pack.

Card 2

This one looks so good in person! I was bummed that I didn't film it so I will definitely be doing a no-line watercoloring video in the near future using the Weekend Doodles Stamp Set.  I stamped this in Limeade Ink and used a mix of greens and browns from both the Watercolor Brush Markers and the Watercolor 36 Pan Set.

When I was done, I mounted the watercolor cardstock panel onto Dark Chocolate Cardstock.

Card 3

For the card pictured above, I used Permanent Black Ink to stamp the image and used Artist Markers in Grapevine, Ruby, Red Velvet, and Crimson to color the flowers. And, for the leaves, I used the Green Fields Set of Artist Markers. For the flower center, I used the Summer Afternoon Set of Artist Markers.

I die cut the image using the coordinating dies and stacked this on around 4-5 layers. To finish, I added a few black paint splatters.

Card 4

I finally got my hands on toned gray paper by Strathmore! I stamped the image with Embossing Ink and colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils.

To finish, I added paint splatters with Pure White Ink Spray. You can watch the video below (or on YouTube) to see how this card came along.
