Modifying Stamped Images Using Markers

Hi friends! Svitlana is here. Today I want to share a simple card made using Floral Shadow Stamp Set. I'll be showing you how you can change the look of this set by modifying stamped images using markers.

To start off I stamped a floral design onto a Solar White Cardstock panel using Ocean Waves Dye Ink. All stamps in this set are solid, which make them perfect to stamp shadows. But first I wanted to create flowers, that would make these shadows.

So I added some layers to stamped flowers and leaves using blue markers from Artist Markers Set A. I did very simple coloring. Just was adding flicks from the center of the flowers towards the petal tips. For leaves I was flicking from the bottom or base part of a leaf towards its tip. And I was going from darkest to lightest, to blend flicks together. And then added some darker flicks on top, to intensify them a bit.

I applied masking liquid onto all stamped elements and after it dried stamped shadows using Limestone and Silver Stone Die Inks. After that I stamped a sentiment using Pure Graphite Dye Ink.

I cut and scored a side folding A2 card base out of Navy Cardstock and adhered the panel onto it. To add so more interest to blue flowers I covered them with glitter brush pen.

Several clear droplets finished off the card.

I hope you like the idea of how you can stretch your stamps by modifying stamped images using markers. You can completely change the look of stamped images by coloring them.
