Non-Traditional Sized Card with 3D Flowers and Stitching

Hello, everyone! Today, I prepared a non-traditional sized card with 3D flowers and hand stitching.I really love square cards that are sized 6″ x 6″, but it is always a challenge to create a card base that will fit it. So, I took a piece of 8.5″ x 11″ Moonrock Cardstock and decided to create a card base without folding.First, I chose blue pattern paper from Pastel Dreams Paper Pad and hand stitched it in the center of the cardstock. Alternatively, you can use a stitching machine instead of making it by hand. That would also look cool!Once my unique card base was ready, I started to create 3D flowers using Rose Flurries 3D Die Set and Gradient Cardstock Set – Summer Afternoon.

This set has been a true rescue for me, as it was always very hard for me to find matching colors in my cardstock collection. Having this set on hand saved me a lot of time.Next, when I created my flower composition, I used Press ‘n Seal wrap to add glue carefully without needing to find the right place for each piece again. Do you use this trick too?

After that, I decided that the Hello sentiment from Hello and Hugs Die Set had to be layered, too, so I die cut two pieces using different cardstock colors. Then, I adhered them, making a shadow effect. Finally, I did a little sentiment stamping inside the card and decided to hide the backside stitching with washi tape from Summer Afternoon Washi Tape set. This washi tape totally matched the gradient cardstock set, so it was perfect!Have you ever tried to create such a big, non-traditional card? What size was it? The largest card I remember making once was a 30″ x 30″ card!
