Quick Watercolour Card with Just Because Stamp Set
Hello friends! Hope you all are doing well. Erum here today with a quick card to share using the beautifully detailed Just Because Stamp Set.
I used smaller of the two floral stamps in the Just Because Stamp Set. I stamped it twice using embossing ink (we also have our own embossing ink now in case you didn't know) and heat embossed it with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Then I proceeded to add watercolour without thinking too much about shadows or highlights. Just drop in colour, fill the spaces. Believe me it will end up looking nice anyway.
For my watercolours I used distress inks and reinkers.
I fussy cut the stamped pieces out after the watercolour was dry. Then I proceeded to place them on my 5.5×5.5 square card front. Since this is a very detailed stamp set, I didn't want to risk masking hence stamped them individually and then fussy cut it out. I think it was much easier this way. If you look closely, my fussy cutting is not very precise, I didn't bother much because it's hardly visible since I glued the pieces onto same colour cardstock. You can only see edges curling up because I didn't apply the glue too well.
Now with my background ready, I knew I had to use the Bold Alphabet Die Set. We all love this die set don't we?! I die cut “HI three times to layer it up. I then die cut the “HI” in Gold Mirror Cardstock to add as offset.
A pop of black was missing from my card so I heat embossed “Have a lovely day” from Halftone Hearts Stamp Set onto some black cardstock with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.
In the end I added some rainbow sequins and placed my card front on Pale Grey Cardstock base.
Hope you like my card. See you soon!
