Soft and Elegant Card Tutorial using Beloved Memories Creativity Kit

Svitlana is here. Today I wanted to share with you a soft and elegant card made using the Beloved Memories Creativity Kit. This kit includes very beautiful Creative Edges: Lace Die and this die initiated the idea for my card. It definitely reminded me of lace so I went with the “lace-appropriate” design. Something shabby chic-like, even cheesy if you will. :)
First, I made a couple of pieces of DIY patterned paper. For the top piece, I stamped the flowers from the Cherished Memories Stamp Set using the Cotton Candy Crisp Dye Ink onto a Solar White panel. For the bottom piece, I blended the same ink through the Feeling Dotty Stencil.
Next, I die cut a sentiment using the You Are Loved Die and blended the Cotton Candy Crisp Dye Ink onto it in a gradient manner. Then, I cut a piece of vellum a bit smaller than the top piece of my DIY patterned paper and adhered the sentiment onto the vellum, which, in turn, was adhered to the said panel.
Next, I foam mounted both panels onto a white card base.
After that, I die-cut two lace borders out of white cardstock using the Creative Edges: Lace Die and blended Cotton Candy Crisp Dye Ink onto one of them. Followed by adhering both die-cuts onto the card. I layered the borders, placing the pink one under the panel.
This finished off the card. I hope you like it. Now, looking at it, I see that it screams “baby girl card”. What do you think?
