Stamp Focus: Garden Treasure

Hello everyone! Erum here today. I have been skimming through all the comments and I know you guys LOVED this release as much as all of us (designers) did! But then when do we not love what Altenew does?! Today I will be focusing on the beautiful Garden Treasure stamp set.

Garden Treasure stamp set is a 6×8 layering stamp set with 5 flowers, 1 small floral vine, 1 leaf, flower centers (stamens) and their layers.

For my first card I did some masking and stamping and coloured the images using Altenew Artist Markers Set A. For the blues I used Sea Glass and Desert Night, Frosty Pink and Coral Berry for the pinks and Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen for the greens.

I used colour pencils to add details to the petals and also to add a cast shadow so that it looks like the flowers are popped up.

Altenew Artist Markers are my new favourite colouring medium, I didn't spend very long in colouring this piece. In fact this took the least time to colour.

The sentiment is from Smile More stamp set which I outlined using a white gel pen to make it stand out. Everything was stamped using the Permanent Black Ink cube.

My second card is a bit more whimsical. This look was inspired by a fabric pattern I saw. I added a few white dots with a white gel pen to make the design look more fun than beautiful. I stamped the flowers with Permanent Black Ink cube and watercolored the entire piece without giving much thought to shadows and highlights.

My third card also has watercoloured flowers! I stamped several flowers on watercolour paper, painted them then diecut the images using the  Garden Treasure die set.

I stuck everything on foam tape for dimension then tried on various placements till I was happy with the result. For my stamens I used white gel pen and I also added some glossy accent to the flower centers.

For my last card I started off by stamping the leaves on watercolour paper and heat embossed them in gold. After watercolouring I die cut the flowers and leaves and popped them up on to my card front.

My card front was created by blending Morning Frost Crisp Ink mainly and Evening Gray Crisp Ink on the edges. The sentiment is from Family Matters stamp set. I absolutely love the thin gold glitter strip which is cut out of Gold Glitter Tape.

I hope you liked some of the cards I shared. This stamp set has so many possibilities that you just cant stop yourself! I had ideas buzzing in my head and I didn't have enough time to make so many cards but I will definitely be sharing more soon.
