Using Halftone Squares in Two Creative Ways!
Hello, Altenew friends! It's Virginia here. Do you love geometric stamps? I don't know about you, but I do love geometric shapes with floral designs. The stamp set Halftone Squares is so versatile that I can think of so many ways of using this set.
Today, I am sharing two cards with this uber cool stamp set and I hope you love my ideas!
Previously, I made a similar card (you can see the card here) and I took the same direction and did it again. I love the idea of a trendy and modern square vase since I own a few square vases myself.
The Starry Flowers were colored with Watercolor 36 Pan Set during my vacation and were die cut after returning home. Gotta love the matching Starry Flower Dies!
With the help of MISTI, I stamped the “vase” with Shades of Purple on the Lavender Fields Cardstock. I then cut it out and popped it up with foam tape.
I also stamped a few small squares along with the Chinese sentiment “Xie-Xie” from Thanks Around The World. For the embellishment, I tied the silver strings around the “vase” and added sequins.
I started out with a piece of white cardstock and started stamping the largest yellow square. This is also a great way to bring out your favorite Altenew Inks and make it a good workout for the inks! With a Silver Glitter Tape on white cardstock, I die cut the gorgeous Simply Thank You Die.
To me, it is easiest to start stamping with the largest squares and then gradually build up the design. I stamped the smallest squares with pops of bright colors to bring out the happy factor!
