VIDEO: Lydia’s Crafty Corner- Heat Embossed Ink Resist Sentiment

Hello there everyone! It's Lydia here. Today I will be sharing with you a simple technique that allows you to add a design onto large stamped sentiments. I will be using Mega Greetings 3 and Charming Doodles Stamp Sets.

To start I took a piece of white cardstock and ink blended an ombre background onto it. I used Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon and Galactic Stream Inks to do this. Once I was happy with the background I then stamped some images from Charming Doodles Stamp Set onto it using Galactic Stream Ink. I then made sure this was completely dry before moving onto the next step.

Next I stamped the large ‘love' from Mega Greetings 3 Stamp Set onto the panel using Embossing Ink and I heat set this using Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. Once the embossing was cooled I then ink blended over it using Galactic Stream Ink. The heat embossing resists the ink so the lighter sentiment shines through. When this was done I added an additional sentiment from the same set this time using Pure White Embossing Powder.
