Lydia’s Crafty Corner: No-line Watercoloring with Altenew’s Watercolor 36 Pan Set

Hello there everyone and happy Friday! Today I'm sharing a card using the newly released Watercolor 36 Pan Set. I'm so happy that these are now available and the colors are just gorgeous!

To start, I stamped the large flower outline and leaves from Beautiful Heart Stamp Set using Sand Dunes Ink. I didn't stamp these directly onto my piece of watercolor cardstock, instead, I stamped it off first onto a piece of scrap paper and used the second generation ink. This gave me a super faint outline that is not at all noticeable on the final card.

I then set to work with the watercolors! I worked petal by petal, not painting petals that touched each other until they were dry to stop bleeding. For the flower, I used Purple Wine, Sunkissed, and Warm Sunshine and for the leaves, I used Evergreen and Forest Glades.

I wanted to keep the attention on the flower so I kept the rest of the card super simple and just added a sentiment from In My Thoughts Stamp Set using Jet Black Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!
