How-to Video! 3 Creative Ways to Add Color to Stamped Florals | Creative Coloring with Erum

Hello! Erum here and I have three cards + a VIDEO to share with you! The stamp featured on my cards is called the Statement Flowers Stamp Set. I'll be sharing 3 creative ways to add color to stamped florals.

Altenew Statement Flowers Stamp Set | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0Like always, I tried to come up with three very different looking cards for you. Let's start with the easiest of the three.

GOLD HEAT-EMBOSSED CARD

To begin, I stamped the image in Antique Gold Pigment Ink and then heat-embossed it in Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder. I then fussy cut the design out and adhered it at an angle, off the edge with foam tape. Next, I used gold from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set and colored in the leaves. For interest, I also added a lot of splatters of the same gold watercolor. The sentiment was also stamped in Antique Gold Pigment Ink. To finish, I adhered a few gold sequins.

COLORING WITH WATERCOLOR BRUSH MARKERS

For the second card, I heat embossed the image in Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Next, I used Watercolor Brush Markers in Dusk, Persian Blue, and Turquoise to color the flowers and Jet Black to color the leaves.

The coloring technique I used is one of my very favorites and most used, I have taught it previously HERE. Once the image was dry, I used the coordinating die to die-cut it. For the card front, I used a light color wash of Jet Black Watercolor Brush Marker. I also added splatters of black paint from the Watercolor 36 Pan Set. For my sentiment, I chose to go with “Hi” which I die-cut out of Fine Alphabet Die Set in Gold Foil Cardstock.

EASY WATERCOLORING WITH ARTISTS' WATERCOLOR

My final card is a one layer card. I stamped the image in Obsidian Pigment Ink and heat embossed it in Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder. I used the Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set to color.

For the flowers, I used a mix of Tea Party, Red Cosmos, and Warm Sunshine Watercolors. For the leaves, I used Tropical Forest, Delectable Delights, and Coffee Break. I also used the Rock Collection Watercolor to add depth.

To add texture, I added splatters of Pure White Watercolor on the image.

For the background, I used a light color wash of Fall Harvest Watercolor. The sentiment is from the Sweet Nothings Stamp Set.

You can watch the video below or on YouTube to find out how I colored the card.
