Scrapbook background created with stamps and inks

Hi Altenew Fans! It's Flóra here sharing a new layout created with Altenew inks and stamps. I decided to give it a go and try to make a unique background for my page. For this I chose the beautiful Painted Flowers stamp sets and three different inks.

First of all I applied a thin layer of clear gesso on the middle of my 8.5×11″ white cardstock. While drying I stamped with Rouge and Cotton Candy inks on a piece of plastic package. I added some water from a sprayer and gently started to apply the ink on my white paper.

When I was satisfied with the result started to create the floral patterned. For this process I used a dark gray ink called Moon Rock. Why not black? Because this is the background and the pattern should not dominate to aggressively. It's better to choose soft colors as we should not forget to keep the focus on the photo.

I finished the page off with adding few different type of embellishments like frames, puffy stickers, enamel shapes and a cute bow.

I recorded my whole process, so you can check every steps of creating a stamped and inked background.

That is all for today. I hope you like it.
