Video: Chase your dreams

Hello everyone. This is Lilith with my very first post and video for Altenew. One of the first stamps I fell in love with was the Beautiful Day Stamp and its die set. I created a simple layout which holds lots of little details. Details that draw your eye towards the photo.

I used the inks to create a subtle watercolour look on the cardstock and played with two ink colours (Ocean waves Crisp Ink and Forest Glades Crisp ink) to create the leaves which I cut out using the matching die. These leaves created the visual triangle in my design and help guide the eye over the layout leading it towards the photo which is the main element of the page.

For the leaves I applied ink to my craft sheet and inked up the base stamp. I used two colours to create a new tone. The stamp will be less crisp but that is the look I was going for. Then I added the detailed stamp with the nerves of the leaves as well as the outline.

Instead of writing the journalling I opted to use a sentiment from the Thoughts & Reminders stamp set. The embellishments are simple and repetitive which adds to well balanced whole. A couple of buttoms with some detailed threading finishes off the layout.
